Vertical Separator

The oil and gas industry is constantly looking for ways to improve production. One way this can happen are vertical vessels called separators, which producers use in the field or at wellheads before they send their fluids downstream.

The purpose of an oil and gas separator is to separate the elements in a fluid stream. The typical components are oil, gas water or sand with solids settling at bottom due their different densities which allow them stratify when moving slowly on top; this process also works for horizontal vessels as well.

This ASME separator package was built for a offshore GOM production facility. Spirit provided all components including the vessel, skid, and piping. A high quality package was delivered to the customer on time with a tight delivery requirement.
