6-inch Pig Launchers

The importance of a good pig launcher cannot be overstated. It is an invention designed specifically so technicians could access the inside of oil fields and gas lines with tools, including cleaners and inspection cameras.

The pig launcher is an oversized section in the pipeline that reduces to normal diameter. The pressure-driven flow of product causes it push along until reaching its receiving trap, which are usually located at regular intervals for easy access by upstream machines or equipment.

Multiple units were built for various land based locations in Texas. These launchers were built in support of pipeline cleaning and inspection operations.
